Consecration of OCSP to the Immaculate Heart of Mary - Sunday, Oct. 15

Bishop Steven Lopes will consecrate the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter to Mary’s Immaculate Heart on Sunday, Oct. 15, by praying the consecration publicly at the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston.

Blessed Mary exhorts us to pray with the children of Fatima.  She taught the children how to pray, silently fingering rosary beads as the children recited their prayers aloud. Catholic Devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary always leads to a deeper relationship with Jesus.

At Fatima, Mary also exhorts us to engage in acts of penance and reparation.  The Blessed Virgin is addressing the violence and offenses against God present in our world.

At its heart, then, Fatima is a missionary mandate, relying on the witness of real people to communicate the profound truths of God and the life-giving relationship with our Lord.  Fatima is proof that even the most unlikely of missionaries can produce abundant fruit by relying on the grace of God.

Here is the prayer that we will use in Ordinariate parishes consecrating all of us to the Immaculate Heart of Mary:

This prayer will be offered at the 12:30 noon Mass on Sunday, Oct. 15 at

The Catholic Parish St. Thomas More,  263 Roncesvalles Avenue, TORONTO
