Fr. Scott is visiting Toronto to speak at
the LIFT JESUS HIGHER Catholic Youth Rally at the Metro Toronto Convention
Centre.
From Kamloops, British
Columbia, he was active in youth ministry and served with NET Youth Ministries
before entering the Companions of the Cross in 1989. He has a BA in History
from Carleton University and a Masters degree in Divinity from St. Augustine’s
Seminary and the University of Toronto.
Fr. Scott was ordained in 1995. He joined
the Companions of the Cross because of key elements of its vision: unquestioned
fidelity to the Church, life-giving brotherhood, openness to the ways of the
Holy Spirit, love for the Blessed Mother, and its evangelical mission.
He was elected General Superior of the Society in 2006, was re-elected in 2012, and is presently still serving in this assignment.
